When Ben Bornstein was 14 years old, he got hit by a baseball. The ball hit the exact spot where, unknowingly, a deadly tumor was growing. The pain led him to a doctor where he was diagnosed with cancer. He was just a boy with his whole life still ahead of him.
He would have loved a mentor- someone just like him who had already survived his type of cancer. Ben survived and went on to graduate from Princeton, then earned his JD and MBA degrees from Harvard. He also went on to beat cancer twice more in his adult life. In 2016, he put his successful career on Wall Street on hold to fulfill his philanthropic passion. He became the CEO of Imerman Angels, a cancer support community enabling one-on-one matches between survivors, fighters and caregivers. For two years, Ben successfully ran Imerman Angels, leading the organization to a record number of matches for cancer fighters in all 50 states and 90+ countries. |
